I saw this when I was checking at deutscrock.de. Amazing, tricky? It's defenately different. This set includes a t-shirt (very nice) and a ticket to the open air concert in France, Parc des princes. I think they do this because they want to sell out the last tickets! The t-shirt is printed in both sides, and at the back it says" Tokio Hotel Parc des princes Open Air Paris 21 juin 2008

Svea

I think it's a offer to customers so that they will sell out the last tickets.

zillah
05-28-08, 08:23
it absolutely is but it wouldn't make sense just to produce about one hundred shirts. i bet they made more and are selling it at the PdP gig as event shirt. they did the same with the Ärzte gig on new year's eve 2 years ago. :)

I'm pretty sure they will sel the t-shirt at the PdP gig.

I'd buy the set IF I OLNY COULD MAKE IT TO PARIS but unfortunately I can't. when my mom told me she wouldn't allow me to go to PdP it was the most intense wanna-strangle-my-parents-so-much-moment of my life :rotfl:

i can get one for you at the PdP if they sell them there? :heartbeat:

Elphaba, when i click on the link that you posted, the site that loads for me is acting wonky and the windows are all over the place. i got there:
http://www.deutschrock.de/
and then click on "Tokio Hotel" and use the regular site for ordering.

That is exactly what I was planning on asking you to do. But I don't know how much it would cost. 30€ or so is a lot of $$$ for a tshirt.

zillah
05-30-08, 05:01
i'm sure it will be around 30 euros, though. :/

I've seen some online at deutschrock.de for 22 Euro.

no it is a normal price. Shirts are usually at least $30. Range is usually $25 - $35

Yeah, shirts (at a show) usually cost about $25. Hoodies are usually $45 or $50, but I've seen them as high as $75, which is insane.

Yeah, I was really annoyed/outraged when it was priced that high. It's ridiculous, especially when every other band sells it for usually $25 bucks less. I can't recall whose show it was, I thiiiiiink it may have been MCR (oh, maybe it was Manson. His stuff was ridiculously priced. It was $30 bucks for a pair of plastic heart-shaped glasses). But I've noticed that a lot of times the prices are usually weirdly jacked up when it's a band from across the border vs. a band from Canada.

mimas
05-31-08, 02:00
Also, if the band is paying a big venue or arena the t-shirts are top price ($30-$45). The bands that play clubs and small theaters have the t-shirts for $20.

we got the same prices over here except it's euros instead of dollars. so yeah, band-merch is expensive in europe. :/

I know it's not that expensive really, but I am regularly shocked by the price of clothes everywhere. I don't buy clothing that often and a lot of times buy it secondhand, so I'm used to things being cheaper. I spent $120 on just a pair of pants and a dress in March and felt like a wild spender.*

That shirt is really nice, though...I have to buy some computer stuff and so I will do that and if it does not cost too much I'll get the shirt. :D

*Says the girl who spent €120 on a pair of Chanel sunglasses. :o
