New Registrations on Moderation - BOTS

I hate that, I've had spam users all over one of my sites for the last couple of years. Only just getting around to doing anything about it though, because I'm a lazy sod. They were registering about 20 a day, then posting about 5-10 spam comments under some of my older posts. I eventually switched off user registration because I'm about to upgrade my site anyway and beef up the security. Obviously you can't do that because you rely on user registrations.

Hi, i just wanna say something but dont get me wrong ... maybe im overrreacting or getting paranoid but for me its kind of suspicious watching 50 new members with nicknames like jldffoxgd or i2whd63odj26 .... i dont know what im supposed to think about it

It's probably a spambot that's broken through the defenses. It happens every now and again. Report the post so that the admins know to deal with it.

yes we are aware of them , as we are certain they are spam bots.
We do ask that you report any spam posts you might find around the forum and we will clear them as fast as we can

There's a few new registrations, and a couple of them look like the ones that were spamming last time. Don't know if that is actually the case (and if it's not, my apologies to those newcomers), but I thought I'd just say something about it now.
